BATS are a five piece band based in Dublin, Ireland. Musically their blend of visceral but catchy post-punk/hardcore/metal and scientific musings has attracted a wide spectrum of fans that continues to grow steadily earning them a “ones to watch” title by Rock Sound Magazine in 2008. The band have gained many fans since their debut ep, “Cruel Sea Scientist” which was released in 2007 and continue to grow from strength to strength, as Ken McG from Blistering.com put it, “Bats may only be at the beginning of their career but it sounds like it’s going to be a good ride so get on now. ” Rock Sound also said of the debut, “Choppy rhythms, spontaneous clap-along moments and infectious hooks come mixed with a seemingly unhealthy obsession with Liars, which may result in you forgetting about fixing your fringe and actually dancing for a change.”
